Same to ya Jim. Especially the "you vote wrong"

I'm thankful that our community hasn't been devoured by fire, like Paradise was. And now, heavy rain is predicted for the morrow! YAY!

I have a new roomate; she is wonderful! The old $#@! moved out, who had stiffed me on November rent.
She raked all the leaves around the house, shopped and got a free turkey,.and will cook it, she cleans house, doesn't do drugs or drink. Its like having a wife without all the drama!

She was homeless and living in a motel, and so gratefull to come here!

I am a "older folk" with no parents, lost Dad when I was 24 and Mom when I was 50+.
Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I digress....

    How very Dostoevsky.

I wouldn't trade my world for anybody's and although I live a simple life, I'm thankful for all of it. Just being able to take a hot shower is worth it's wait in gold. My dad just checked out about two months ago at the tender age of 96 and mom passed away a decade a go.

My motto; "Anything on this side of the dirt is a good day."

Tomorrow evening I'm going to get a big bucket of chicken with cole slaw and mashed potatoes and whatever else is in the dinner (I haven't done this ever, but I have friends who have and I've watched TV!), and a case of beer, and totally ignore cultural appropriation by blacks of this traditionally white picnic food and drink while I enjoy myself.

I am very thankful that I am able to do that.
