The antisemitism card gets thrown around about 5 times the rate of the race card on here.

Safest bet one could ever make. We have seen them do it in the same thread.

We have more antisemites than we do racists. We have two consistent racists. Without giving it much thought we have three obvious, consistent antisemites.

I have, on this forum. I know that it was one of two members, but as I don't recall which one it was for sure I won't guess.

I'm actually not sure that's true, X. Consider how frequently Democrats, liberals and progressives are accused of being "racist" in terms of (allegedly) believing that minorities are inferior and need to be help and coddled, or words to that effect. Conservatives and those expressing what are perceived to be conservative opinions, e.g., retaining or preserving Confederate flags and statues, opposing affirmative action, and so forth, are not the only ones targeted by the accusation; all sides get it. When you take that into consideration - along with the fact that normally the "anti-Semitic" charge only comes up in threads about Israel, whereas the "racist" thing can (and probably has) come up in threads about baking or houseplants - I tend to think that the Racist Card probably gets play considerably more often.

    Alright, so...

The reason we did not move this thread is that it actually raised a point that needed consideration and was not posted just for the purpose of questioning moderation. It will now be closed.

The moderation team is likely going to adjust the announcement today or tomorrow for the inclusion of antisemitism. I would suggest that members don't get cute and start trying to get around this by using alternative words to make the same accusation. The general message is: do not make constant accusations about other members to the point that it is considered excessive or harassing. We have provided a warning that members need to walk it back because it is a detriment to discussion and it is impossible to moderate unless we are going to moderate every instance of its use. If you think something is actually racist, report it.

    So, thread closed.
