How'd demonizing Pelosi work out for you in 2018? Why do you think it will work any better in 2020?

The policies Pelosi supports, such as her immigration policy, are supported by a solid majority of Americans. And the naked bigotry of your "WE HATEHATEHATE ALL WOMEN AND PEOPLE IN CALIFORNIA!" campaign doesn't play well at all outside of your base.

So, we Democrats encourage you to keep doing what you're doing, being it helps Democrats so much. You can keep running against Pelosi, and we'll keep running on issues and winning.

I can tell you that knowing you won't change. You're all stuck. If a Republican politician doesn't embrace the stupid and immoral, the savage Trump base turns on him. If he does embrace it, he loses to the Democrat. There aren't any good options for Republican politicians.

    Yeah, I don't get that.

They can pass anything they want but it won't get through the Senate without a give/take.

I do understand why you ask that. I do. I think back to 2008 when the Republicans were irrelevant and a 'dead' party - dead and buried. Well, inevitably, the D's over-reached. The R's stormed back to power. They will do so here. They can't help themselves. Please -- let's talk gun control, help the illegals, more transgender bathrooms, etc.

Like the R's inability to reach consensus, the D's have the inability to find the middle. So, we'll swing back right either 2020 or 2022. Neither party can help itself.

Wouldn't happen even if the dems could do it. The issue of illegal immigrantion is too big a political rallying point for the dems to ever give away.
