Remember when retirements were announced without the pre-announcement?

That usually meant a coach was really fired.

2 LSU players were recently arrested. Now 3 Clemson players failed drug tests. If this was Ohio State, Urban Meyer would be catching HELL. #Buckeyes

ESPN and the twitter mob would be all over that. The hate for Ohio State is so blatant GO BUCKS! Merry Christmas to Buckeye Nati

Don’t forget about the three Alabama players failing the drug test I could see where that could get overlooked with no coverage on @espn

Which is why college football is basically an oligopoly.

College sports is wholly corrupt, it stinks to hell

I don't know if I'd go that far but college sports does have more than it's fair share of corruption for two reasons.
    1) Money
    2) Us. The fans. We have, over years taken what should be a competition between colleges primarily for the students, by the students and of the students and transformed in into a minor league sports especially in football and basketball., masquerading as college competitions.

Ohio State isn't any more hated more than any other team. ESPN loves both the Big Ten and SEC.

No. The Big Ten Network killed any SECSPN love. The SEC Network cemented ESPN's SEC love.

OMG.. Imagine the Stress he was under.. making $7M a year, having his car washed, gassed up and serviced for him. All this travel arrangements made. Clothing layed out by Nike, Dry Cleaning brought to his office. Hair cuts at work...Assistants to bring him coffee, Assistant Coaches doing the recruiting trips and working with the players.

This all had to be far too much for one man and his cyst to endure...

Call me after you've been a head coach at a major D1 football university for many years.
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

I've had conversations with current and former assistant coaches and one former head coach of a major college football program. All of them were well paid, but the things they tell me about the stress they are under makes me wonder why anyone would subject them self to that.
