I, too, am aging. I am 65. I have noticed it is harder to apply great energy with a single-minded focus the way I used to. For example, just a few years ago I learned an enormous amount about our electrical grid and its vulnerabilities to physical attack, coronal mass ejection high energy effects and electromagnetic pulse weapons. I spent all of my nights and weekends on it. In a year I could easily converse on the subject with other engineers as well as senior managers (vice presidents). Now I am working toward a goal to prepare to lobby my state legislators in March on the next step for legalizing cannabis as medicine. It is harder. I am taking online college courses on human biological systems, on pharmacology, as well as reading the laws concerning Schedule I, and the state laws. It is harder to integrate everything.

It's more than occasional. I'm telling you this as a leftist observer. Republicans are the focus of reporting at present because they have control of all three branches of government. You will see that change in January and witness for yourself, if you are paying attention, the swiftness with which these same institutions lambaste and condemn the Democratic Party for opening any investigations into the president at all. I say that with confidence because premature denunciations of the incoming Democrats by these very outlets has already begun, and began, in fact, the day after the Congressional elections. It will become much more of a focus once the Democrats actually have some power in Washington again starting next month.

Statistical analysis proves you wrong. Negative reporting about Republicans far outpaces negative reporting of Democrats, by your so called "non partisan" networks. It's simply irrefutable. Your own observations are simply skewed by your own political biases.
