I met LTG Patton too. He was a big guy. I was in VII Corps. He was in the hallway. He stopped me, asked about me, then moved on. I was a Captain. I went there to interview for a company command position.

Silly? Perhaps in your opinion, but I wanted to know how much you knew about Geo. And you answered my question so there isn't much more to say on this.

Think 3rd party for 2024 folks. Clean up America.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.

Patton was such an interesting figure that volumes have been written about him. We could talk about his time with Blackjack Pershing, his Olympic competition, his skill as a swordsman (he actually designed a sword for the Army), his skill as a horseman, his religious beliefs, his love for his family, his respect for the men under his command, his tactics...

There was too much to the man to just casually "tell you what I know" about him.

George Patton wasn't POTUS - he was free to use whatever language suited him at the time. Of course, eventually, the brass thought he was a bit of a nut and a political liability - that might be down to his inability to censor himself.

Blumenthal should have been charged but it was during Obamas DOJ so democrats were safe.

I have been giving away my books before we move. In the last "batch" I gave away five books written about Patton. I have many more that mention him.

I think if people want to "know" Patton, the two best books for it are War as I Knew It and The Patton Papers.

I had one written by his intelligence chief. And one written by his chief of staff (I think). I just did a quick scan of my shelves. I gave all of them away.

O-o-o that's deep. But seriously who cares?

Look at the total nutjobs Democrats have running around Congress now. Ocasio-Cortez is so crazy she's probably dangerous but definitely a wasted human being.

You think you'll switch your vote next election because of Trump's tweets? You didn't vote for him last time and you won't be voting for him next time either, no matter how good a job he does, especially if Pocahontis or Bernie decide to run. LOL.

So what exactly do you want in a President, if I may ask, if you actually have any idea?
