    School didnt socially engineer and the school day was mostly spent on the subjects.

    I see. We were on different wave lengths. I also know of no one here who would openly define "Patriotism" as lockstep agreement with government. However, defined by actions a great many seem to define patriotism as lockstep support for 1/2 the government and virtually all actions against foreign governments.
    You do not fall into that category. But too many do and by doing so they, IMO, fail to do their civic duty of "eternal vigilance "
