Yes. Snowflake is a term which describes the hand wringing left. To simply toss it at conservatives is funny.

Law is becoming religion, yup. Just as it did in Russia and China. Scary to supplant God with man, but that's it. Whenever it has been done before, the consequences were horrendous.

Americans are way too smart for themselves. Humility has vaporized.

So, yeah, Democratic Party politics has become the blind religion of the lost. And yeah, those individuals, for whom this country was founded, are also lost and don't realize it.

The key word in that assertion is "mocking". Pointing out that, statistically and objectively, an increasing number of Americans - probably Westerners, generally - are deriving many of the same needs from their association with political causes and parties that they used to get from religion is not "mocking" - it's reporting. Perceiving anyone saying anything that you either don't like hearing or which you haven't taken the time or expended the mental energy to understand as an "assault" is being a snowflake.

These observations weren't fresh a century ago. Are North Americans really this far behind?

......and yet, you're still mocking and assaulting someone else's religious beliefs just because their faith doesn't match your beliefs much as your response shows it towards me.
and yes, the term snowflake belongs to the most on the left. To try and attach it to those who benefited from this last election is an insult and you do mock and attack those who did so. Even you misapply it.

The ACLJ, however, defends only Christians, with an emphasis on promoting evangelical Christianity, whereas the ACLU is, to say the least, far more ecumenical.

SJ, I'm beginning to wonder whether you and I are even having the same conversation. How on Earth, exactly and specifically, am I "mocking and assaulting someone else's religious beliefs"? What have I written in this thread that even remotely suggests to you that I'm doing that?

Conservatives who claim that only "liberals" can be snowflakes remind me of nothing more than racial minority members who claim that only White people can be racists. You're simply attempting to define a term in such a way that it can't be applied to you, even when your attitude and behavior exactly meet the objective criteria.

Which numbered platform is it where you have a fit and begin accusing others of assaulting you and your beliefs for having the audacity to report a statistical trend in society that makes you uncomfortable?
