Ohio man arrested for providing material support to the Islamic State

Another lone wolf - he was planning on attacking a synagogue.

An Ohio man was arrested on charges that he attempted to support the Islamic State by planning an attack on a synagogue in Toledo after the Pittsburgh massacre, federal officials announced Monday.

Damon M. Joseph, 21, of Holland, Ohio, was arrested Friday and charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State.


The case began after Joseph posted photographs of weapons and messages in support of the Islamic State on his social media accounts, according to a news release about Joseph’s arrest from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Ohio’s Northern District.


Undercover FBI agents began corresponding with Joseph. In some of these discussions, Joseph said he supported the Islamic State and made propaganda “in support of ISIS recruitment,” which included videos to recruit people, according to the release. And he expressed his support for violence, officials said.


He said that he supported “martyrdom operations,” that “what must be done, must be done” and that “there will always be casualties of war.”

The more we allow in the worse it will get. It makes sense that if their kin is being killed by the Jewish state that they would attack a synagogue here. But the right is not the ones yelling open borders, most of their organizations are. Many of them are holding signs saying refuges are welcome here. So who is the blame for this.

Ask yourself this question. If we were at war with say Ireland. You are over there watching your friends, some family die. Now you are from Ireland and they put you into the US. Now you still have family and friends alive over there. Would you try to send things over there to help them. Would you want to target people you think here is supporting killing them. Most people would say they would try to help them in their country if it's just sending them something.

This is why when we are in a war with a country you shouldn't send those people here. It doesn't matter which country. They are always going to think about the ones left behind and may want revenge.
