Even the PAlestinian Authority has earmarks

    https://www.jns.org/opinion/palestin...rists-in-2018/

The total PA budget is $5 billion. The amount that supports prisoners is $155 million, out of which $147 million are spent on transfers to the prisoners. These include salaries to 5,000 prisoners, paying Israeli fines for 1,200 prisoners, grants to 1,500 prisoners upon their discharge, grants for 1,200 unemployed released prisoners, delayed payments to 1,000 prisoners, salaries for 5,500 released prisoners, unspecified amounts to released prisoners who spent more than 10 years in jail, canteen expenditures for 6,000 prisoners and clothing allocations for 5,000 prisoners.
    5 billion......like....Pinterest is worth 6 billion....for crying out loud.

The P.A. budget for supporting the families of “martyrs” and the wounded is $185 million. This sum is used to make sure that 24,000 families of “martyrs” and wounded who reside inside the “homeland” get a monthly allowance, 13,500 such families who reside outside the “homeland” get a monthly allowance, 375 families get special monetary assistance, 28,000 families get health insurance, and monthly allowances are paid to the victims of the 2014 conflict in Gaza. On top of all this, the budget is used to finance a variety of benefits to the family members
13,500 families of "martyrs....outside Palestine" get a monthly allowance? Wow.

Mahmoud Abbas has insisted repeatedly that he will not do so. “Even if we are left with one penny, we are going to use it for paying the salaries to the Martyrs and prisoners of war,” he declared.
Hospitals? Clean water? Hope for your children.....you don't have one penny, Mahmoud, you've got 5 billion times one hundred pennies. Look to your people.

They have pretty much wrecked anything good that was on the West Bank and Gaza. The Israelis left farms and green houses- the Palestinians let them go to hell.

There is something wrong with their leaders, and them.

I will always remember the scene played out on tv of Arafat's death. The helicopter carrying his body hovering over the masses in his home town, the people screeching their last goodbyes....helicopter gone the cameras stayed to record many returning to their 'homes', their streets strewn with rubble, feces and bacteria puddled, ruins on both sides, and I remember thinking to myself.....

...what did this man bring to these people? How did he influence their lives, improve their children's?

Answer.....he brought misery and poverty, he left their children's future in ashes.

I think Israel is finished making offers. The Arabs won't honor anything now. Israel is going to keep the West Bank they want. They and the Egyptians are going to keep the Gaza Strip as a slum.

The Arabs have long passed their chance for a new country to be called Palestine. Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia don't care anymore. Syria can't do anything. Iraq will be doing good to remain a nation.
