#3 at the Vatican convicted of sexual abuse of Choir Boys

That is pretty high up in the Church. From his past in Australia.

The Vatican’s third most powerful official has been convicted in Australia on all charges he sexually abused two choir boys there in the late '90s, according to two sources with knowledge of the case.

A unanimous jury returned its verdict for Cardinal George Pell on Tuesday (Australian time) after more than three days of deliberations, the sources said, in a trial conducted under a gag order by the judge that prevented any details of the trial being made public.

Pell, the Vatican’s finance chief and the highest Vatican official to ever go on trial for sex abuse, left Rome in June 2017 to stand trial in Melbourne.

As that trial was about to get underway in June, a judge placed a suppression order on all press coverage in Australia, according to the order reviewed by The Daily Beast. Prosecutors applied for the order and it was granted to “prevent a real and substantial risk of prejudice to the proper administration of justice.” That order remains in place in Australia.

It's getting bad they found 700 just in one state that was accused. 2019 is going to be a bad year. Not just with kids, ones in seminary forced to in order to get a position. One just got sentenced in Penn

It's time that the Catholic Church allows married priests (again). The prohibition against married priests has just made the priesthood a mecca for degenerate pedophiles.

Well, I read that a lot of good science, astronomy and math have come out of monk life in monastaries, not to mention histories.

I think there's a lot to that. My sense is that the Church and Catholics generally are not only aware of it but good with it. Your sense too?

    Degenerate $#@!s, Who.

The Church and we Catholics were not aware nor good with it. Evil crept in. We’ve spent 30 years rooting it out. These are old priests from before the new screening processes.

Whatever. As far as I'm concerned, what happens in parochial schools can stay in parochial schools. I know from experience that Catholic schools produce very nice kids, without exception that I can remember.
