Democrat admits opposition to free speech

Here's a California Democrat who has the courage to admit that he's stands in opposition to our first amendment right to free speech. I do admire him for telling us what other Democrats are afraid to say.

An interview on Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s testimony before lawmakers with House Judiciary Committee took a tyrannical turn when the California Democrat expressed his “love” for the idea of controlling free speech.

I don't get this guy; he contradicts himself. One minute he says he'd like to control the content of speech and in the next breath he says "but I think over the long run, it's better the government does not regulate the content of speech." I sure hope his voting base remembers this next election.

You missed this? ", it’s better the government does not regulate the content of speech.”

Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I digress....

Did you miss the part where he said that he'd love to regulate speech? He's one of yours. Be honest Jimmy, if you had your way you'd regulate speech too, huh?

He's smart enough to know that most people will be repelled by his position, so he attempts to play both sides.

I took it to mean that he would like to control free speech ( as many would) but that it is good that the government does not allow him to. May I also point out that I think it a tremendous waste of tax dollars when "congresses" think they are courts.
