    I bought a new M-4

Today I went to a local gun dealer and bought a new M-4. My wife came home from work, saw it and said "Oh, did you buy that for me"? I told her "no, I bought it for myself". She got pissy about it. I told her the solution is for me to let her have that one and I'll get another for myself. I spent less than $900.00 for this M-4 and it’s a quality rifle.

The law is changing in Washington state next year so I need to purchase it before the first of the year.

There are a lot of good manufacturers out there now. That is driving the prices down.

The one I just bought is by a company called Windham Weaponry. It's military grade. After my wife took me to task, I'm buying another tomorrow.

Windham is kind of a cool company. They started as employees of Bushmaster. When Bushmaster built a new production facility and moved, they got together with the original owner of Bushmaster and fired up the old one and went into business for themselves.

They are doing a good job of it.

Forgive me. I live under the belief that there's no such thing as owning too many guns or enough ammo. What is an M4? I looked here: https://www.impactguns.com/brands/Wi...eatured&page=2 and see it's an AR15 M4. I love the Bushmaster A2 but I don't know what an M4 is.

I have a Bushmaster made by the original company that I have had for 25-26 years now. It has been modified quite a bit over the years. I had one of the top AR riflesmiths in the country trick it out.

There are a lot of good makers out there. My personal favorite these days is CMMG. I have one of their ARs and their Mk47 Mutant, which has become hands down my absolute favorite "working gun".

Sig, Smith and Wesson, Ruger, Windham... all make good quality ARs. You can go from entry level sporting guns to full blown operator level guns. The AR platform is incredibly versatile. I don't see why anyone would not want one.
