    Paul Ryan

Just like his hero Ayn Rand, and his/her economic libertarianism, Paul Ryan is a failure at governance, he should have stayed in the background where immature economic thought works it magic because it does nothing but fantasize. Today, like Rand in her later years, he is a welfare recipient of government. And his refusal to act on Yemen demonstrates he has no soul either. Sad.

"Remember, dear reader, that libertarianism is not what it seems to be. In truth, it would be more accurately called duostandardarianism, where the two standards are:

    1. Any governmental or otherwise public action is wrong.
    2. Any non-governmental or otherwise private action is right, even if it's identical in every other way to an action condemned by (1).

Starting with these two differing standards in mind, libertarians then proceed to cover them in a heap of dizzying rhetoric, much in the same way that a cat will try to bury its $#@!. Here's your example for today."

Neither you nor your sources have much of a clue about libertarians. Hint, there is a broad range of beliefs in the philosophy.

Aside from all the gobbitygook in the thread, I never liked Paul Ryan, his never ending plan for debt reduction was always the same.

Cut taxs for Corporations and the Rich and Abolish Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid

Every budget he tried the same thing over and over. I agree he was a failure and he accomplished nothing.

As Speaker he was even more worthless than John Boehner

By your standards, isn't every government employee, in essence, a welfare recipient of government?

Ayn Rand wasn't libertarian, she hated libertarians.

I don't know that there are any authentic libertarians in the congress. Rand Paul is as close as you can get and he's about half way there. Paul Ryan certainly isn't a libertarian. He might agree with libertarians on some issues though.

Im surprised midcan hasnt told us how successful ALL democrat politicians are how they are all true to their word and how they all turn down their govt pension when they leave office.

There are some on this forum that call trump supporters and conservatives uncompromising hacks. Dear LORD people look at your own
