    Lawyers in Washington

I'v been around a lone time, all over the world. I thought is there are too many lawyers in congress and the senate. I do believe if you are a lawyer you should be run for the House or the Senate. They are the ones that has this country at a stalemate, only looking out for themselves. You just can't trust a lawyer. You can defend lawyers all you want, but look at the facts. America is a business not a courtroom. Look at the billions wasted over the years by lawyers investigating every one and all the commercials from lawyers wanting to do you a favor and sue someone. The only thing I can find solitude is that there will not be any lawyers in heaven.

A lot of lawyers never make commercials or work in a sector of the industry that handles the types of cases you are talking about. Constitutional law, contract law, tax law, legal reform, etc.. You're talking about sleazy "If you have mesothelioma..." lawyers, which are generally not the type that are in Congress.

I respectfully disagree. Yes, I am a lawyer. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that lawyers have had an immeasurable positive impact on this country.

There would be no rule of law in this nation without lawyers.

There would no incessant goddamn lawyer ads on tv one right after another either. Yes I love both you two lawyers but I have a very good and a very bad view of lawyers.

Ive known many dirtball prosecutors and lying CDLS, the ad guys have become dispicable they dont stop, its almost to the point they are begging you to crash your car and call them.

Lawyers are like anything else, there are good and there are bad and wanna talk about the blue wall of silence, whew you need to check out the Great Legal Wall Of the USA.

I love ya both dg and pete you know that but gotta call a spade a spade

I know that there are scumbag lawyers out there. They are just a minority. Most lawyers have never litigated any case, much less were ambulance chasers.

They gave had a positive impact, but we have too many lawyers and that has contributed to this “sue happy” culture we live in today.

We need lawyers, but we don't need so many. We also need less in government.

I think the issue is that lawyers are over represented in congress because it's original design had a lot to do with making laws. Now we have too many laws and while occasionally a new one is needed , more should be done away with than added. Now congress manages a country, to an unconstitutional level, but that's for a different post. So I believe we need a better mix of walks of life in congress and less career politicians and some businessmen and woman, although not all from big business. In short we need more diverse representation , less laws, less stalemates and more managers.

I don't think one needs to be a lawyer to be qualified to craft a new law. Just as one doesn't need to be a lawyer to advocate repealing oppressive or uneccessary laws.

Look at who crafted the ACA. That should tell you that it was not about providing quality health care.

Lawyers have immense value in theory and had value once upon of time, now they're just mostly glorified parasitic theives, profiting off the blood and treasure of the American people at criminal rates. They reap the bounty of fraud and the over-criminalization of the country, which of which was legislated by, you guessed it, lawyers in the first place.
