    Nonsense.

What do you think they do in a Supermax prison... chain them to the walls, flog them regularly, make them listen to rap until their ears bleed?

The worst offender in Norway has many more rights then a law-abiding person in USA who has no earning potential. In USA, not only criminals but also people who can not earn are treated harshly.

The welfare system disagrees with you. And the people milking that system do as well.

I have had thoughts of doing mortal harm in instances of rage, that, when calmed I would not entertain. If I where to act in times of rage, should I be forgiven in the calm afterward? Am I an intermittent monster worthy of death?

As that you're human, being separated by the animal world with more than just natural instinct, and having freedom of choice, you are responsible for your choices and actions regardless of your feelings.

Yes, the only thing that has kept me this side of the death house. I am torn for the one-offs and their remorse, but for serial killers with guilt I just as soon have them hung and done. An interesting conundrum indeed.
