I can imagine the stress it puts on a marriage when one of the couple is constantly away for long periods of time. It's a huge sacrifice to make by any soldier who is either married or in a relationship. Until you mentioned it, I never realized the numbers were that high as well.

The truth is hard to swallow for you, I get it. But someone needs to say it. These reunions are just empty rituals meant to cover up the ugly truth of US empire. Trillions in tax dollars going to waste, families suffering from needless absences, foreign peoples being violently subjugated, that's the reality.
