Both systems are based on materialism, individualism, and self-interest. You'd have to go back to before the Enlightenment to find anything different.

It is only rocket science Chris...… It is only NASA. This thread is about so much more than water. It is about the utter destruction of our planet by the greed of the corporations. I am spelling out the truth for anyone who cares to see it. If you don't that is fine.

Nothing does a better job than capitalism and free enterprise.
Capitalism does not need to use destructive practices in order to be successful does it? Capitalism can use modern alternative energy sources. It is your so called capitalism and destructive practices that you are defending that are destroying this earth, and will take us way back farther than the 9th century, skip that and go straight to the cave man days. There is no need for capitalism to use these types of practices the are killing people by the millions, and destroying our air and water and land. There are alternatives. There is solar, wind, Fusion, Desalination. There are modern alternatives.

This is not propaganda, it is reality. Call it what you want to.

Obviously big business and the orange guy don't care about the planet or they'd put a stop to this. Trump is actually about to open up fracking in our national lands.

Life means nothing to them, it is all about greed and how much they can take.

It is projected that in as little as 12 years 1/2 the world could be out of fresh water. This does not count for pollution, and waters we render undrinkable in the meantime. You will find a common theme in the videos I have compiled, is that all of these destructive corporate practices, seem to contaminate, or deplete precious fresh water sources.

Even if you only watch a fraction of these videos, you will come to understand that the earth can no longer sustain these practices. The earth is overpopulated, and the resources will not be able to sustain us. We are at the same time facing global warming, and that is another factor that we will have to calculate into this equation, especially when it comes to water, and environmental disasters caused by increased storms. Although I do think that it is man made at least in part. I do also believe in natural cycles, but I believe that we have exacerbated it to extreme levels, that it would not be otherwise. But let us throw global warming out the window, and focus on global pollution, and the real damage that it is causing to our planet. These facts are undeniable. I posted a lot of videos here but they are necessary in order to paint a realistic picture of the truth.

Man started mining in the Neolithic era. Oldest mine is 43,000 years old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining#Prehistoric_mining

But it's capitalism, around a few hundred years, and now Trump, around a few years.

    And you people claim reality.

You focus on US corporations, so you aren't really "covering many bases" at all, but wagging your finger at the US, as usual.

I have a long, long list of vids of very, very, very, very serious environmental issues caused by Chinese industrialization. Want me to post them, or are you satisfied just wagging your shame finger at Americans, to which group I belong, like you always do? My list is long but it is exclusive to China, so ....

As a bonus, I can post another list of vids of environmental crises exclusive to Japan. They too are very, very, very, very serious. And another list of vids of serious environmental issues exclusive to Korea. Another list exclusive to India, where everything they touch seems to turn to crap. Another list of environmental issues exclusive to Russia, some of which date back to the Soviet era before you were born. Another list exclusive to Eastern Europe. Another exclusive to Western Europe, and so forth.

So, your point of shaming the US for its list is lost. Totally. What, then, is your point?

Let me know if you would like me to post my lists of vids, and I'll let'er rip! It took all of about 15 minutes to compile them. Myself, I find them very boring. Here's one not so boring, however:

    Top that, JustAP.
