Thanks Common. I was just curious why the site didn't have one so I appreciate you explaining it. I do see where it would be misused but I think we'd quickly figure out who's thumbs down to ignore after we start to see a pattern.
You can certainly submit my suggestion for consideration.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I think that as between the carrot and the stick, that the carrot is ultimately more useful. All that an 'unthanks' button would accomplish is to discourage discussion. The forum software is set up to tally these things. Inasmuch as some members are inclined to make little more than snarky responses, I leave it to your imagination as to which button would be used more frequently. Negativity breeds more negativity. Ultimately members would point to negative thanks scores to impute shortcomings.
