Thanks Common. I was just curious why the site didn't have one so I appreciate you explaining it. I do see where it would be misused but I think we'd quickly figure out who's thumbs down to ignore after we start to see a pattern.

You can certainly submit my suggestion for consideration.

Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

Cool. a new board service. The board can automate its recommendations for members to ignore/mute. Then Jet can remove the hundred or so of us he has on his ignore list.

Make sense? I have a weird way of thinking so don't feel bad if you still feel confused. hahahahaha
If I see a silly post or something I really don't agree with I can use . It should get the point across without being offensive.

Thanks! I think it might be helpful to curb some of the sarcasm.....or not. But it will help me avoid saying something I'll regret later. lol

I think that as between the carrot and the stick, that the carrot is ultimately more useful. All that an 'unthanks' button would accomplish is to discourage discussion. The forum software is set up to tally these things. Inasmuch as some members are inclined to make little more than snarky responses, I leave it to your imagination as to which button would be used more frequently. Negativity breeds more negativity. Ultimately members would point to negative thanks scores to impute shortcomings.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

    Happy New Year Dr. Who!!!!

Yes, I see your point. How about updating the emojis. The ones available are so small that it's not worth using them. Maybe that could be a reasonable compromise?
