Following the 2016 election, that was a common fantasy for the disillusioned and angry, and by 2018, more than 1 in 4 Americans indicated a desire to go to Canada, Gallup stats show. That’s more than double the number who named Canada as an ideal destination in 2016.


But that’s not to say a mass migration would actually occur. As Gallup noted, “people’s desire to migrate is typically much higher than their intention to do so ― as such, it is unlikely that Americans will be flocking to the Canadian border.”

Jasper also has a larger glacier, and those are pretty awesome. In Banff, the only place I saw part of one was at Lake Louise (I went in winter) and it was awesome to see the blue of the glacier against regular snow/ice. And you're right - way more tourists go to Banff, largely because it is closer to Calgary and civilization. For Jasper, you have to go further out.

Definitely a great place to camp and fish. I am hoping to get to Zion National Park at some point this year. Yosemite and Yellowstone are others that I would like to get to eventually. I love to take photos of the landscape because it's absolutely amazing. A beach is a beach is a beach - Jamaica last year was nice, but Iceland was better, for example.
