Security clearance or not. Having been through several clearance investigations myself they are more worried about you defaulting on government loans like not paying your school loans then they are worried about unemployment claims. Just my experience. It's funny cause they will deny a TSC for not paying student loans but will approve a TSC despite the fact that you've had 3 DUIs.

Not if you consider the benefits. Pensions, medical benefits, job security. While there is better cash in the short term the long term definitely leans towards the public sector if you're content with enjoying the benefits of a middle-class lifestyle in America.

If someone with 3 DUIs gets a TS/SCI either someone dropped the ball, or that person did a lot of work on his own time to mitigate those DUIs.

Correct when considering benefits and security.

Seen it happen. In my opinion a DUI does not constitute a threat to one's TSC because it ultimately is the worst traffic ticket. Not sure of the logic but I've personally seen someone get denied because they were delinquent with their student loans but seen an individual granted despite his 3 DUIs.

That was one of several comments that motivated me to have the op moved from Rants to the Pub. If I was going to be skewered, I thought it would be a better fit in the Pub. lol
