Flying or entering any federal facility.

If you have a passport you can use that instead.

Virginia's drivers license is not yet Real ID compliant, but VA has an extension that is running out soon. I just got a my license renew two years ago so it has another 8 to go. I will not renew my license until 2026. In the mean time I can use my passport and Global entry card to fly and my military ID to get on federal installations.

Passport. If you have nothing you might end up with your case dismissed. Or if you are a defendant or a witness found to be in contempt of court.

If the judge tells you to be in court on X date and X time, and you aren't, there will be issues. I suppose it will fast become a problem for the courts to figure out how to do with. This will affect a lot of people.

If you are required to be in court you have to be in court. The fact that you can't get in is your problem.

As a witness or a defendant, I suppose you could get in. As a prospective juror you might not. For everything else you don't get in. That's the law.
