Yeah, we know your tactic for dealing with financial adversity is to play the victim and hold out your hand for government assistance. Other people prefer to take matters into their own hands.

Trump didn't shut down the government. The government is partially shut down because the democrats won't compromise.
Regardless, here is my advice to anyone affected adversely by the democrat shutdown:
    1. Don't work for an entity that has the greatest debt in human history.
    2. Save money for a rainy day.

what do people from the private sector do when they get laid off or fired? They go find other work.
By the time I was 25 I knew how to do four different kinds if paying work from shoveling chicken sh!t to working copper for plumbing. Everyone should train themselves to do more than just one thing AND not depend upon government for their jobs.
Do like we do in the private sector, find another job. Just because one works for the government is not and should not be a guaranteed position, just like in real life.
Do yourself a favor and learn to do more than just one thing.
If one cannot find work, make work.

Make Treasury Secretary Mnuchin Great Again !

Treasury Secretary Mnuchin: Do not call me the 'foreclosure king'

    https://money.cnn.com/2017/07/27/news/economy/mnuchin-foreclosure-king/index.html

Democrats and housing advocates bestowed the title on Mnuchin after he was named by President Trump to serve as Treasury Secretary. They accused Mnuchin of having profited from the 2008 financial crisis by foreclosing on thousands of distressed homeowners while he was owner of housing lender IndyMac, which later was renamed OneWest.

Earlier this month, a 2013 memo from the California attorney general’s office was leaked indicating that OneWest allegedly engaged in “widespread misconduct” to boost foreclosures, including the backdating of mortgage documents.

In light of the memo, the nonprofit watchdog Campaign for Accountability called on the Department of Justice to investigate OneWest for “using potentially illegal tactics to foreclose on as many as 80,000 California homes.”

Millions of foreclosures took place in the aftermath of the Great Recession, but critics say that OneWest stood out compared to other lenders with aggressive tactics and a particularly high foreclosure rate.

A ProPublica report released after Mnuchin was nominated to lead the Treasury said that OneWest “was responsible for 16,200 foreclosures on government-backed reverse mortgages, or 39 percent of all foreclosures nationwide, from 2009 through late 2014, even though it only serviced about 17 percent of the loans.”
