Senate passes bill guaranteeing back pay for workers after shutdown ends

I said Fed workers would get back pay

The Senate had good news and bad news for the 800,000 federal employees who won’t get paychecks on Friday because of the partial government shutdown: Yes, they will be paid, but no, not until there’s a deal to restore funding.

The mixed news came Thursday afternoon, when senators voted unanimously to authorize the eventual post-shutdown funding of back pay.

What you posted is the sense of the Senate. It is not a law.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I think that was the right thing to do. Short term they'll do without, but long term they'll recover monies owed to them.

7 House members voted no. I wonder who they are.

They shouldn't unless they are among those being required to work without pay during the shutdown.
