    People who are affiliated with the freedom caucus were welcomed into various leadership positions in the party. They were not rejected and denied committee positions. Their voice was welcomed. They were included, not excluded.

    That's a narrow view. I'm speaking more broadly. Both the freedom caucus and tea party proved to create challenges for republican leadership on agenda items they were trying to push through.
