Two female officers killed this week

An Ector County sheriff’s deputy was shot in the line of duty a few minutes ago and has been rushed to the hospital

Update: it looks like 3 deputies were shot, one suspect put down and a second taken into custody.

According to Sheriff Griffis, deputies were serving a narcotics search warrant at a home when a suspect inside opened fire.Three deputies were hurt in the shooting but were possibly able to return fire.


One suspect inside of the home was killed. Another suspect has been taken into custody and is now being interviewed. Neither of those suspects have been identified at this time.


Sheriff Griffis says authorities are searching the area for a possible third suspect involved in the case. Deputies are now waiting for a second search warrant to search the home where the shooting happened.

All I knew was 3 K9's had been dispatched, and they were tracking down a male. Not able to be on the net too much these days because of obligations.
