    Her campaign strategy in the upper mid-west was a large contributor.

    Apparently it was the opinion of the campaign that those states were a lock. Expensive mistake...

    She took them for granted and basically ignored them. she thought that they'd vote for her no matter what.

    They barely do now. Most campaigning is done in about 5-10 states.
