All four bye teams won. And the Chargers had to play last week and go on the road despite a better record than the team they played. My suggestion is allow 8 teams in the playoffs in each conference

Then it would be the NHL, "everyone makes the playoffs".

If the NFL had 80 games each year, yeah maybe but they don't, nowhere near.

I think the current playoff structure in the NFL is fine where it's at. And yeah, a bye week is huge. It sets up regular season drama a lot more.

It's not supposed to be fair.

There should be a substantial reward for superior performance during the regular season.

The Chargers were a wild card team. There should be an advantage to winning your division.

There are enough teams in the playoffs now. Expand it and you will be rewarding mediocrity. Especially if half the teams in the league make the playoffs.

If anything only have one wildcard team from each conference.

Wrong. There are two. This year in the NFC it was the Seahawks and a Eagles. In the AFC it was the Chargers and Colts.
