My favorite Coen Brother film, The Ladykillers. Too many great scenes to post them all.

Just re-watched the 1960 The Magnificent Seven this past weekend. Watching it again just reinforced my opinion that it is much, much better than the recent re-make. Chris Pratt is no Steve McQueen and Denzel Washington is no Yul Brynner. (I did love the character played by Vincent D'Onofrio, though - he was a lot of fun.)
Beyond that, it's just a far better movie all around and in every way - a true classic. Frankly, the recent version relies way too heavily on gunfire and bloodshed generally and - perhaps in a somewhat ironic reversal of the usual situation - the '60 version has its gunfighter-for-hire characters being much more introspective and honest about the nature of their business than their 2016 counterparts.
The original TMS is an absolute must-see film that I only got around to watching for the first time a few years ago, in preparation for going to the theater to see the new one. You may safely skip the re-make, in my opinion, but don't miss the classic original. (And yes, I know about The Seven Samurai - my film buff youngest son reminds me that I still haven't watched the true original.)
All seven gone now, with the passing of Robert Vaughn in 2016.
