Nike self-lacing shoes put a ton of tech under your feet

If consumption is your thing here's the latest thing.

"Nike Adapt BB is the second generation of self-lacing shoes. The updated sneakers are more affordable at $350, pair over Bluetooth, and remember how you like the fit of your shoes. We visited Nike’s campus to try them on and talk to Tinker Hatfield, the designer behind the self-lacing "

    $350 for shoes!?!?!

Kids can't tell time without a digital watch or write cursive any more so it stands to reason losing the ability to tie your own shoes would be next on the list.

They will be the first casualties if an EMP or solar flare destroys our grid.

I'll never buy another Nike product. But I wouldn't buy self lacing shoes anyways.

    Ridiculous.

If necessity is the mother of invention, what is the phrase appropriate for this nonsense?

Probably tracking devices in it. Yes, likely, considering it links to an app.

    Genius morons.
    You are wrong about police.

Invention is the mother of necessity? It seems to be what our culture has become, chasing after ever more.
