That has nothing to do with the Emolument Clause. In fact there was a recent case about this and the judge dismissed the lawsuit.

It might be actually interesting to have a real discussion on this issue. Instead it will be just a partisan motivated food fight where facts and the law are irrelevant.

A Democrat who doesn't know or understand the law who also thinks the elected POTUS is a Russian spy says he is guilty and that's all the proof one needs.

There's also an emoluments suit that is going forward brought by the states of Virginia and Maryland.

I believe there's one other case going forward out of New York, IIRC.

I'd be more concerned about this one than the wine bar which was found to have no standing.

State attorneys-general tend to be tenacious.

This case seems to have the same problems.

The bulk of our Founders were businessmen, some even smugglers. To think they wanted to preclude businessmen from politics is odd.
