We're Not Even 30 Days Into 2019 And It Looks Like Democrats Are About To Have A -

We're Not Even 30 Days Into 2019 And It Looks Like Democrats Are About To Have A Civil War.....

Yet, while doing battle with the Trump White House is a top priority, the progressive Left also wants to clean house in the Democratic Party as well. The party elite is reportedly trying to rein in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), as they view her antics to be distracting, but they’re also not pleased that she’s willing to help boot fellow Democrats who are viewed as too moderate. Shots have been fired inside the ship (via Politico):

I’m sure Ms. Cortez means well, but there’s almost an outstanding rule: Don’t attack your own people,” said Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.). “We just don’t need sniping in our Democratic Caucus.”

Incumbent Democrats are most annoyed by Ocasio-Cortez’s threat to back primary opponents against members of their ranks she deems too moderate. But their frustration goes beyond that: Democratic leaders are upset that she railed against their new set of House rules on Twitter the first week of the new Congress. Rank and file are peeved that there’s a grassroots movement to try to win her a top committee post they feel she doesn’t deserve
    .

GQ added that the reason why the Democrats were so successful in House races in 2018 was due to candidates like Ocasio-Cortez:

And now, it seems progressive groups are already taking aim at those moderate Democrats. These are the same people that helped Ocasio-Cortez get elected (via The Hill):

So, in all, progressive groups already reloading to take out their own within the party, far left loons that could cause heartburns on the various committees in the House, and reports of rank-and-file Democrats already queasy with how this far left faction operates. This sounds like a toxic $#@!tail that could implode the House Democratic caucus—and I hope it does. The next two years could be dotted with the far left putting forth insane proposals, whilst the more experienced members are left to do damage control. It wastes time—the most precious resource in politics......snip~

Democrats are starting to fracture over the partial government shut down. While Trump has offered to negotiate and even offered a couple of concessions, the Pelosi faction refuses to take part in any negotiations. The pragmatic Democrats know that public opinion is shifting against their side on this.

Maybe I'm wrong on this but wasn't there a negotiated deal that was approved thru Congress and that Trump said he would go with only to renig on it after Limbo and Coulter laid down the law? Would you negotiate with someone who went back on a previous deal?

    Citing Coulter is a diversion.

Trump made it clear from the big inning that he would not sign anything which didn't provide funding for his promise of border security. There was media speculation that he was willing to abandon that demand. The media was wrong.

I thought there was deal for something like 2.5 billion for the border wall that passed the senate something like 98 to 2. Mitch then got blindsided explaining his current position. Limbo and Coulter are relevant because they are ad hoc advisers who the salesman listens to.

Trump said that he wanted at least five billion which was already a substantial compromise on his part. I know of no one named Limbo, but Coulter is not an advisor to the president any more than you or I are.

So, enough of the media created diversions.

Who's doing that? Provide a citation.

All I've seen is someone identifying the developing rift within the congressional Democrats. How is that defending establishment Democrats?
