Haven't seen this commercial. Didn't watch the video. I've seen other commercials, however, and I can vouch that they very often do present nonsense. What's so special about this one?
Okay, I watched the commercial. It tears down men, esp whites, for no reason and without explanation. It is stupid to the point of being offensive of sensibility, you're right.
Gillette has misread the public.
Interesting, seeing how only conservatives got massively triggered by a "Men, don't be jerks" commercial.
Plainly, the conservatives self-identified as the people that the commercial was addressing, and the liberals didn't.
And only the conservatives saw things in terms of grievance politics, not the liberals. It's how the conservative mind works.

Reality check - this video was meant to sell over priced replacement blades, not instill deep philosophical discussions.
I didn't watch it nor will I. I'm offended by commercials, commercialism, the concept that all advertisers need to do is repeatedly shove these things into the faces of drooling idiot sheep and they will affect buying, living and thinking habits.
This materialistic, fake "Disney" society we have sucks, I $#@!ing hate it.
And clearly from the descriptions of this commercial they're targeting millennials like most commercials nowadays do.

I don't see anything fundamentally wrong with a video that suggests that men should behave like gentlemen, not only with regard to women but between themselves and that little boys model the behavior that they see.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.
