Self back traction for back pain

So I found a few useful videos I thought I would share them they are about how to do your own back traction to stretch your spine. It can be helpful for those experiecing back pain, or pinched nerves or disc problems or stenosis. I found the first two to be helpful. The last one not so much.

Your welcome. I needed some help with my back, and found it last night. I was like how can I do this myself? It really did help. I thought maybe others might benefit from it too. I thought I would post it just in case. There are many other vids too but these didn't use any device they were the simplest.

Last night I tried the first two. Both helped, and the first one shows how locked up my lower spine is. It will take a while to stretch that out.

I am really glad to hear that. I feel the exact same way. I am looking forward to doing it over the next few days and seeing if there is more improvement. There was a neck one that I found before that was pretty awesome. I was really appreciating it but I have some damage in my neck from a car accident and it became too much for my neck. But I will share it just incase you would like to check it out. But if you do try it be careful.

That looks like a good stretch for the neck. I use to use a head strap that you could attack weights to in order to get a thicker neck. I haven't seen those in many years- probably too many people used too much weight and screwed their necks up. But I bet they are still used in football team workouts.

Yeah it was a good neck stretch. The neck strap with weights sounds like serious exercise. That would be the end of me, if I tried that. LoL.

I also seen lots of vids using bands to stretch the neck, but I didn't watch them, since I know I cant do that one. But they did look like they would feel good. Yeah they say a lot of us mess up the curve in our neck from looking down a lot. I have a reverse curve from the car accident. But it sounds like lots of people have it just from being online. LoL. But either way it does feel really good on the neck. It is such a gentle exercise but the results are awesome.

Yes, the natural curve of the neck changes and causes problems mainly do to poor posture such as when texting a lot or sitting at a desk leaning forward all the time.

This is an excellent thread. Thank you.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

They are good exercises regardless of back probs. My neurosurgeon taught me back stretching exercises after a scaffold collapsed with me on it in rhe mid eighties.
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
