McConnell steps into shutdown fight, scheduling dueling votes

McConnell steps into shutdown fight, scheduling dueling votes

McConnell has scheduled two votes in the Senate for this Thursday.

    1. The plan outlined by Trump this past Saturday. If that vote fails, then

    2. A Dem plan to open the government immediately with no Wall Money.

The first plan would need all repubs and 7 dems to pass. Considering the Dem vote comes second, I don't see why 7 dems would vote for it.

A NC GOP congressman has a plan to bypass Congress and fund the wall. No details provided, but suddenly McConnell and Schumer are meeting to formulate a resolution to their impasse on the shutdown, the phony $#@!s.

His plan includes Trump putting up his own money.

I don't think anyone is taking it seriously

Inchoate, as far as I can tell.

Suggesting that Trump use his own money isn't a plan at all. Possibly if Trump's reimbursement is part of his idea, it would maybe appear to put Trump in something of the same situation federal workers are in.

That's not the same congressman. The NC congressman I refer to is Mark Meadows. I'll look for the link to that story.

This link was stolen from tPF sister forum. It was posted by Montana, and I don't know why I'm telling you this. Just don't tell anyone where you got it. Anyway, here:

I think it's wonderful that McConnell finally got up off his $#@!ing ass to act toward resolving this situation. See how easy it is, and how culpable these politicians in Congress are for these harmful situations that tend to worsen as guys like McConnell play games?

    Obviously, McConnell doesn't give a $#@!.

Why is he smiling? He should be absolutely ashamed of himself.
