Saddam was many things. But iraq was more stable with him than without him. But who knew? Well a freshman cultural anthropology student could of figured it out. Yet we started to support the same $#@! in Syria.
Saddam was a meaner SOB than either of the warring sects , which meant he kept them in order.

Would you want to live under that form of stability?

That isn't relevant. The US should act in its vital national security interests. Not so the people of another country don't have to live under a mean person. (This is a general comment; not arguing for or against the invasion of Iraq in 2003.)

What I was saying is that the perceived stability of Syria was greatly overstated. Syria hasn't been this haven of stability as claimed.

Vs. living under the resulting instability when he was taken down? If those were my two choice. Maybe

That's not even close to accurate. It's closer to utter ignorance.

But who knew? Well a freshman cultural anthropology student could of figured it out. Yet we started to support the same $#@! in Syria.
A freshmen cultural anthropology student wouldn't even be able to find Iraq on a map...…..ie…...your level knowledge on the issue.
Saddam was a meaner SOB than either of the warring sects , which meant he kept them in order.
But slaughtered Kurd, Shia, Iranian, Kuwaiti. Started three wars, Iraq an utter mess before our involvement. I ask readers and observers to please do homework before entering into the forum and just writing stupid shiit.

    F'n winging it again.

The entire Middle East has been a colossal mess. Israeli wars with Syria, Egypt, Jordan, and the Palestinians. Occupation of Lebanon. Iraq started three wars, the Iran Iraq war saw a million men die, donttread has no idea what he's writing about. He's winging it.

Trump’s warning to the Russians about their activities in Venezuela should be taken seriously. I’m surprised this isn’t receiving more media attention.

Trump's "warning" has been noted by the Russians , and basically ignored. They continue to deal with Venezuela as they see fit , Just as they have been doing for many years........meanwhile Maduro is still there , still in charge , and the silly Guido is running around in circles like a little weiner dog , endlessly yapping , and being laughed at by the Venezuelan military and the people of Venezuela.......oh , and the clown Poroshenko in Ukraine has been thrown out in a landslide victory to the people's choice..........America is good at picking losers.
