    Coming Death of Small-Government Conservatism

The Pew survey. This Chart Shows the Coming Death of Small-Government Conservatism, tells the story in two chanrts.

The first shows America divided on the question is the government doing too much or too little:

But when broken down into age, gender and race, it seems to show small-government conservatism on the way out.

Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire. ― Gustav Mahler

Republics tend to fail. Once the Constitution was broken this is the inevitable result. We are at the dawning of a dark age.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

I am not optimistic. Historically, the freer a people are the greater they will reach and succeed. I saw something like this on TV last night. The pretty young millennial commentator stated that "the young just want everybody to be equal". I remember when everybody just wanted everybody to be given equal opportunity. I'm too old for it to impact me; but I am concerned what kind of USA my yet-conceived grandchildren will grow up in.
Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect. -- Woody Hayes

Equality and liberty are opposing ideas.

Equality leads to mass democracy leads to totalitarianism.

She will get what she is asking for. She and her neighbors will be equally poor.
