But when broken down into age, gender and race, it seems to show small-government conservatism on the way out.

Republics tend to fail. Once the Constitution was broken this is the inevitable result. We are at the dawning of a dark age.

I am not optimistic. Historically, the freer a people are the greater they will reach and succeed. I saw something like this on TV last night. The pretty young millennial commentator stated that "the young just want everybody to be equal". I remember when everybody just wanted everybody to be given equal opportunity. I'm too old for it to impact me; but I am concerned what kind of USA my yet-conceived grandchildren will grow up in.

Equality and liberty are opposing ideas.

Equality leads to mass democracy leads to totalitarianism.
