Police Promise to Go After and Track Those Who Criticize Police

"were going to be keeping track of all of yall, and were going to make sure that we hold you accountable every time you stir the pot on our police officers."

Taking criticism and having your actions scrutinized is part of the job. It needs to be that way.

If someone can't handle that, they need to find another line of work.

In a way, I don't blame them for saying that. It's a risky job, why allow a few to make it worse?

The Cops Were the Aggressors in This Week's Deadly Houston Drug Raid

Many people will be reassured to learn that the men who stormed into the house on Harding Street were police officers serving a drug warrant. I am not one of those people. Let me explain why, starting with some fishy aspects of the official police account and ending with the immorality of responding to peaceful, voluntary transactions with violence.

At a press conference on Monday night, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo initially said the address of the raid, which began around 5 p.m., was in the 7800 block of Hardy Street, about 12 miles from the actual location. Acevedo said "Hardy Street" three times, and he seemed to be reading the address from a stack of papers. By the end of the press conference, he was saying "Harding Street." Which address was on the search warrant? I am waiting to hear back from the Houston Police Department on that point.* https://reason.com/blog/2019/01/30/t...rs-in-this-wee

HOUSTON - The Houston Police Department position is clear: 7800 Harding St. was a drug house where black tar heroin was sold -- and where the homeowner opened fire on, and injured, several undercover officers on Monday.
But something doesn't add up for those who know the neighborhood and knew the suspects best. ... click2houston

This looks more like the correct location for the raid to have taken place. Word on the street is-HPD raided the wrong location. And there is a cover up in progress. I'm out trying to verify information and facts.

Married couples, who own their own home, have no criminal record, one of whom is an honorable discharged disabled veteran, and who are best friends with their neighbors, do not fit the typical profile of heroin dealers.
Whats more, because these undercover cops were in plainclothes, there is no body camera footage to tell what actually happened. And, since both of the suspects are now dead, they cannot refute the official story.

When asked if the couple had any criminal history, Acevedo refused to answer the question noting that it was part of the investigation.
Were not going to talk about their criminal histories, Acevedo said. Thats part of the investigation.
Court records showed that Tuttle had no criminal history in Harris County.Nicholas was charged with theft by check in January 2010, according to court records. That case was dismissed about a month later after Nicholas paid $145 in restitution.State and national searches returned no criminal history for the couple.

In this couples case, the investigation of their deaths is now being conducted by the very people who killed them. There is likely no chance of police flipping the narrative and revealing they were in the wrong.
    Tickling censorship with a feather.

First, the whole "case" had absolutely nothing to do with people exercising their right to criticize police. Gramaldi is a punk who threw that out there to distract from his foul. It is clear that police tracking people, either electronically or otherwise for critical comments is a violation of the first amendment rights. Even his threat could be considered a violation since threats of govt action for protected speech are considered to be a govt attempt to stifle that speech. Furthermore, as a union official, neither he nor any of his membership can use taxpayer funded equipment and databases to carry out this threat. Not legally. He is essentially promising to not only violate 1st amendment rights, but also admitting that he will illegally us official databases in an unauthorized manner.

...After 10 years on death row his conviction was thrown out after it was found that investigators withheld evidence that proved his alibi. But that didnt matter to Joe Gamaldi. He was convinced that this man should stay in prison. This is the man who purports to speak for 800,000 police officers nationwide. This is not just about Joe Gamaldi; It is about everything that he represents. This is about the whole dirtbag system and all of those involved in it. This is about the dirtbag cop who jailed Browns girlfriend until she changed her testimony. This is about the dirtbag cop who had the phone records and kept them hidden. This is about the dirtbag prosecutor who turned a blind eye to all of it. This also includes the dirtbag judge who oversaw the whole thing and allowed it. Yes Mr. Gamaldi, there are plenty of dirtbags out there, but they are not all stalking the streets of Houston. Remember this Mr. Gamaldi and all those you represent ; We will be keeping watch on all of you. ...
