Billionaires like Howard Schultz who want to run for president should “work their way up” from city council, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Wednesday.

Reacting to news that Schultz says he needs to run as an Independent, instead of as a Democrat, because of Ocasio- Cortez’s tax hike plan, Rep. Cortez tweeted that Americans should insist billionaires start small:
