I could see myself doing that but that would mean getting up earlier than I like to. Nah. The whole grains breakfasts are nice during the week. Simple.

The whites alone are very low calorie. That would make the perfect protein snack. Especiall for your son. No carbs or sugar.

I didn't actually make a decision to do so. The only humanely raised bacon I have readily available is uncured.

You said, "3 eggs, 3strips of bacon and some tea. A very healthy breakfast." Don't try to fix it up now, it's too late. I was evaluating what you put forth as a healthy breakfast and it was far from healthy. Animal protein that includes a lot of saturated fat from eggs and bacon is not a complete breakfast. Nothing against some protein or some saturated fat per se when used properly in a balance meal. But the meal you presented as healthy was ignorantly lopsided.

That is a very healthy breakfast. There is nothing to fix and I'm not even sure what you meant by that. Is your brain slowing down? You need some more meat.

Concerning nutrition, it's healthy to someone with your level of knowledge; a little knowledge can be dangerous.

BTW, some years ago, I read about a runner in the Wall street Journal who thought he knew it all about health and was running 10 miles a day. He went to get a complete physical and discovered he had prostate cancer at age 30.

He was a protein hound just like you. So be aware of what's coming down the road, like prostate cancer.

I don't know who he is or what a protein hound might be but I'll just change my diet when I'm 65. ROFL
