This was in the mid-seventies, but the parents were definitely 60's era hippies. They managed to carve out a musical niche for themselves. They would all go for walks together, the whole family. They were always dressed 'differently'. They would have been more normal looking in California.

They were really nice people and super friendly. Eclectic is how I would describe them. I don't think they understood the word stress. They were always very calm. Perhaps it's because they made a living doing something they really loved. They stopped performing together in 1982 and the parents opened a music school for children.
