Sorry but that's just not true. It's called a "consensus" because the vast majority of scientists agree on it.

As far as the grant money thing, no scientist get rich offa grant money. Happens I know a group of researchers who got what sounds like a huge grant. $5 million for research into some new kinda aircraft paint. Sounds like. Bunch of money, right? Well turns out it's not. First of all there are 5 of them, so it's really a $1 million grant each. Second it's over 7 years so were at $143,000 a year. Outta that they have to rent lab space and equipment, buy materiels and computer time, pay a grad student or assistant, and of course live and eat.

Scientists do not get rich offa grant money. In fact climate scientists can make far more by going to work for the oil industry and spouting the party line. Fortunately most of them are too honest to engage in corporate based pseudo-science. thanks
