Why does Poland want a US base, PJ?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

....not sure ....I suspect they are wanting to appease the US . However , the US seems intent on putting as much military hardware close to Russia's border as they can ....including initiating the Ukraine debacle.....so what if Russian returned the favor and started arming up Mexico or Cuba or Venzuela for that matter ?

Some anti-Americanism is interesting. Some isn't.

The east is rightfully wary of the EU but for reasons other than national defense.

I'm surprised that you're not better informed on such matters..............Poland has been antagonistic towards Russia since the break up of the Soviet Union.....I think it's more political than reasonable , in conjunction with EU policies .......and considering The US constant interference in the region , they are using Poland to sew more discontent and instability as they did with the coupe in Ukraine.
