All this is not to say that a community could not agree to form as a socialist group. We see that from farm coops to high-tech Valve Corporation to Marinaleda, Spain. Small scale like that, sure--though in each case they operate within a market economy.

What's that got to do with individual self determination versus the 'collective' determining what it thinks you should conform to be?

    What does that even mean?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

I guess it means you are conflicted and confused by your own thoughts and ideas. Self determination is just that, determined by the self...not by others such as politicians.

Not really. Do you want me to say something to you?

I'm guessing that many of your replies will be that socialism is the cause of everything that has ever gone wrong anywhere! And despite it's recurrence at certain points of different societies development that it has never worked even for one person for one day. And Capitalism is the source of all good and light. And that most of them think we are still Capitalistic entirely. LOL
In reality almost all current systems are some type of hybrid. Then there are other systems like the corporate controlled economics that dominate modern day America.
I am not a socialist. I just think the type of answers I am describing and overly simplistic to the point of being child like. However, maybe I'm wrong and you'll get a meaningful discussion instead. I haven't looked so to not taint my prediction
