    Yes, but only as a last resort. They'll do as I posted: Escape and swim out of reach until the victim calms down or passes out. Knocking them out risks killing them.

    Agreed. It's certainly not Christian or humanitarian. That said, I'm hesitant to make it a law requiring aid. OTOH, I could see the family suing the kids for their actions just as the Browns sued OJ.

    I agree, there should not be a law mandating that someone put their lives at risk. There is something morally wrong about that situation. If they had access to a phone to call for help and they made no attempt there should be some type of punishment.

    In this case I would have required mental evaluation. You have to be sick to video tape someone dying.

    I am not aware of any place in the US that has that duty.
