This is a massive problem. I recently put Nomorobo on my phone and we will see if it helps. At least a dozen a day.

Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect. -- Woody Hayes

I have run into a problem myself recently, if a call comes in with no Caller ID information I block it. Aetna my health insurer recently called with Aetna in caller id and the number was blocked.
I have one button blocking on my phones and cell, I have nomorobo and the cable company has a known spam blocker that you can opt into, which I have.
The problem with all that is that they have SEVERAL numbers to hound you with, you block one another comes.
The student loan scam is insidious, the $#@!s even leave LONG voice mails to bust your hump.
I have screen call on my cell, it rings I cant identify it I hit screen call, the lionshare dont respond and I block them the ones that do I block them too.
I passionately hate the scammer scumbags

Keep us posted. It's a royal pain in the ass. Add to that the scam of calling you a few rings then hanging up hoping a person calls them back.

It is out of hand. I typically do not pick up if I don't recognize the number. I have a service through Verizon that lets me block numbers that I want (for a charge). Lately that app has been working sporadically.
When I give out my number now I tell people to leave a message when they call because I usually keep the volume off because of spam calls.

It is at the point where we should consider outlawing all spam calls. It would harm charities (I am on the Board of one) but that is what happens with abuse of a privilege.

I just no longer answer unless it's a known number in my contacts.
Ran into an issue recently with homeowners. I was notified I needed to remove a dead tree. I call HOA and explained, it's not dead, it's deciduous. She said she'd have the inspector call me to resolve it. So I had to answer local calls. Because I was answering, the robocalls trebled. The HOA inspector never called. Perhaps he was embarrased not knowing the difference between dead and deciduous.
Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire. ― Gustav Mahler
