I mean good lord she was at dinner with her husband. I myself am an honest person. I always tell people what I think of them. Even here on the fourm. If I like a person or their particular qualities I say it. I dont care what anyone thinks of me when I say it. I never mean it in a weird way. If I am somewhere and see a beautiful person, I always tell them. Everyone loves a compliment. I dont give fake compliments either. I just say it if it is true. Maybe she was doing something like this. Perhaps she was just admiring what a fine young man he was.

If she really was flirting with the guy, then perhaps the only safe place he can take his wife out to eat from now on is Hooters.
LOL. It seems to me that if this was a habit of hers, Jim would have mentioned it, but it sounds like it is something new, which makes me think that she may have been doing it for a reason. Either because he has a habit of being too friendly and complimentary with female wait staff or because she was trying to make him jealous!

That is totally possible. If that was what she was doing, then it sounds like it worked wonders. If that is the case it would be bad if they start doing it out of revenge as a new habit. That could ruin their relationship.
We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.

Well, she got his attention. Hopefully, if that was the intention, then a conversation will follow. I suspect that either way, there will be a conversation.

    Dear Abby:
My wife and I have been married for 36 years and have five adult children. We have a loving, caring and mutually supportive relationship.

We recently had dinner at a restaurant, and she became very flirty and familiar with our male server, who was one-third her age and a complete stranger. She complimented him on his handsome looks, his trim waistline and his smooth and reassuring speaking style. I thought she was out of line, and on the ride home, I told her so. She became defensive and angry and said she was only kidding around with him. What’s the best way to avoid this type of dust-up in the future?

Dear Jim:What your wife did was inappropriate. Could she have had one pre-meal $#@!tail too many? Because her behavior made you uncomfortable, she owes you an apology. And if this sort of thing happens again, perhaps you should request a female server if possible.

I do want to say the answer just killed me, LoL request a female server....Abby took it to a strange level...awkward...
Advice? Pay more attention to your wife...

    Dear Jim

As my dad used to say,"I'll give you something to cry about."

    Grow a pair and STFU.

    Yours,
    Abby

Here's how it works . If the husband looked at the hot waitress for too long he is wrong . If he questions the wife for similar behavior he is controlling. Even if he actually catches her cheating it will boil down to being his fault.
Do you see now why western women feel oppressed? Because I sure as hell don't.

What he should have done was invited the waiter to his home and slit the waiter and his wife's throat then run from the police in a white Bronco.

The bottom line is the wife displayed terrible manners. I'm certain her lack of manners had been displayed in many ways previously. He should divorce her.
