" I'm old-fashioned. I like two sexes! And another thing, all of a sudden I don't like being married to what is known as a 'new woman'. I want a wife, not a competitor. Competitor! Competitor!" - Spencer Tracy in 'Adam's Rib' (1949)
Art thou every retard among us related to thine uncle or mistress by way of moral or illegitimate rendezvous? Thus, we are one side of the other's coin by luck or pluck. - Jimmyz

There was a series of programs on the science channel a few years ago about alien contact with us where the alien craft disintegrated and added tons more debris to add to all the space junk we have now. Pieces of it destroyed all of our satellites and even the space station which added even more debris. They ended up creating a quantum computer with knowledge they had gleaned from the craft before it disintegrated and were able to use the data to track every piece of junk and put together a workable plan to systematically retrieve all of it. One way or the other we will have to be be able to clean up that debris or near Earth space will become unusable. Its already at the point where it poses extreme danger to our satellites and space stations and any other craft we send up. Add a possible series of attacks on satellites by our enemies or even us and that space will become unusable.
