Well, now that I've been smartened up about the lawsuit, this makes Kapernick look like a total fraud. Half white guy who grew up in a gated white community used a black issue to ultimately sell out and leverage tens of millions of dollars. No matter what you may or may not think of BLM, they're certainly nowhere near as deplorable and devoid of honor as Kapernick is

Disgruntled guy with a bad attitude who lets his girlfriend influence him. I have no problem with highly paid sports figures using their money and fame to advance causes near and dear to their hearts as long as they do it on their own time. That way I get to choose whether I support or applaud them in their cause or ignore them. Hard to do when they do it during games.

If the player does something really bad and his team cuts him then another team picks him up. The latest is Kareem Hunt who was arguably the best running back in the league. Cutting him was the right thing to do and it really hurt the Chiefs. Now Hunt might be playing for the Browns and if he stays as good a player as he was in KC the fans won't care one bit.
I agree after conviction. However the Chiefs cut him after an accusation, albeit one with evidence. When the accusation is about DV it;'s a tough choice for the team as so many cases are dropped, paid off in civil court or plead to a lesser charge. When it's on video it's compelling but a non felony record is still possible. I wouldn't want to make such choices.

The jelly-kneed position holding its ankles that the NFL has taken IS NOT how you get this mess to go away.

It's how you grow the mess. Say it: Grow the mess. Grow the mess -- that's it. Grow the mess.
