I bought a 12-pound rock

Last week I saw five deer walk across my back yard. I would like for them to come a bit closer. So, I bought a salt and mineral twelve-pound rock to place in my yard. Once the woods are not quite so wet I will place it on top of a large flat rock about 40 feet from my office window.

Today I think I will place it on the far end of one retaining wall.

I have deer grazing with my horses, when in New Mexico, they also come to eat the hay I put out.... several times, the deer have come right down the driveway.

I thought I would share a short vid I took of a baby deer out my back window last year. This little deer is so precious. At around 50 seconds or so he starts getting tickled by the weeds it is really adorable. I removed the sound so the video is quiet. The camera was focusing and making so many annoying click sounds, enjoy.

Being a part time Arkansan I'd be insane to put a deer lick anywhere near me. Some redneck would shoot thru the wall of my living room. And I live in the city for Christsake!
